Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is a Romanian/German actress. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only child of Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her professional career in the show business in the early years of her life. By the time she was 16years old, Alexandra was able to land prominent roles in a variety of TV dramas. The audience was impressed by her role in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra's career has seen her participate in several significant national and international productions. These projects included British biographical feature Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. Additionally, she was an active member of the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
