John Denver, a singer-songwriter who hails from Colorado that specialized in folk pop music inspired millions of people. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, the singer-songwriter fell in love with Colorado and then settled in Aspen. Denver's most popular songs about his state brought many people to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame declared the following: John Denver was by far one of the most popular artists who represented Colorado. Denver was inducted into the Hall of Fame as its initial member in the year 2011. Denver has been the symbol of the state to people all over. You meet people in other countries, like New Zealanders, and they say "I come from Colorado" And they reply with Oh John Denver. Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief stint as a folk musician which was Denver's first Top 10 solo hit. Danoff composed the track with Johnny Cash in mind but after Denver saw an early rendition he knew right away the track could become an instant hit. The song was recorded by the singer just a few days later when he performed it in front of the awe-inspiring crowd at Washington D.C.
